If you’d like to fundraise for us, taking on an active challenge can be a great way to do this. For some events, we are a registered charity and you can opt to take one of our limited charity spaces. For others, you might wish to sign up and fundraise for us anyway.

Charity places for the 2026 event are now available! Join our team today and take on one of the longest-established and most popular city centre road events in the UK. The Bath Half Marathon – or the 'BATHALF' is a fast, flat course starting and finishing in the centre of the World Heritage city of Bath.

Great Weston Ride

For all the cycling enthusiasts out there, this one's for you! Get your bike out for charity with the GWR, a fabulous 58-mile (or more!) challenge bike ride from Bristol to Weston-super-Mare. Following a spectacular route through the Mendips and across the Somerset Levels, this event is a great way for you to raise money for the Friends.

Weston Super Half
19TH OCTOBER 2025
The Weston Super Half is taking place in Weston-super-Mare on Sunday 19th October. Whether you already have a space or are considering signing up, this is a great opportunity to get fit and raise money simultaneously. Simply register for a place in the event and create a JustGiving page for the Friends to begin your fundraising journey.

Tri Cheddar
2026 DATE TBC
Tri Cheddar is a fantastic triathlon event held in the iconic Cheddar Gorge, with two distances to choose from. It's the perfect challenge for both seasoned triathletes and those new to the sport. Why not take part and fundraise for the Friends? You can tackle the Sprint Distance, which includes a 400m swim, a 20km bike ride with the iconic gorge climb, and a 5km run, or the shorter Super Sprint.

Cardiff Half Marathon
5TH OCTOBER 2025
The Cardiff Half Marathon takes place on October 5, 2025. While we don't have official charity spaces for this event, you can still run for us if you have your own place. As you complete the race, you'll get to enjoy views of the city's iconic sights. Simply create a JustGiving page and start fundraising to support cancer care. London Marathon
26TH APRIL 2026
The TCS London Marathon will take place on Sunday 26th April 2026. If you already have a place and would like to fundraise for the Friends of Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre, get started with your fundraising today by creating a JustGiving page and get in touch with us to request some fundraising materials.
Plan Your Own Active Event
You don’t need a starting line or a race number to fundraise for the Friends. Many of our supporters have arranged their own activities, and these unique, personal challenges are often the most meaningful. From sponsored walks, football tournaments and bike rides to tennis tournaments, ‘swimarathons’ and so much more, your passion can be an incredible way to support patients and families at the Centre. Be as creative as you like! Whatever you choose, we’re here to help you get started.
